The Tanzanian food changes by the change of the place within Tanzania, For Instance, In the Coastal Regions such as Dar Es Salam and Zanzibar, they often use Coconut milk and eat spicy food. Unlike the Coastal Regions, The inhabitants of the mainland eat different foods including Wali (Rice), Nyama Choma (grilled meat), And Pilau ( Rice mixed with a variety of spices). Ugali: is the most common staple food in Tanzania due to its ease of cooking and affordability. Maize flour and water is cooked slowly until it reaches a dough-like consistency, after which it’s left for a moment to set before being eaten. A plate you must try in Tanzania.
