DAY 1: ARRIVAL in Arusha at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) – Tarangire National Park

Morning upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your driver guide will meet and greet you and he will provide you with a safari briefing afterwards, you will drive to Tarangire National park via Arusha town.
Enjoy great views of Mt. Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped Uhuru Peak; while you settle in over dinner have a good rest. Your tour starts with a drive to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them.
Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, and up to six thousand elephants. A nature walk is also included. You’ll then spend the night in a lodge in the national park.
Standard Accommodation: Buffalo Campsite or similar, all meals included.

DAY 2: Tarangire National Park – Lake Manyara National Park

The Tree-Climbing Lions of Manyara
Morning after breakfast from your campsite, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. The park is recognized for its incredible beauty with lush vegetation and tropical forests containing giant fig and mahogany trees. Many elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras and a variety of antelope inhabit the park as well as monkeys and a large population of hippos. If you are lucky you may see the Manyara lions, well known for their habit of climbing and lazily resting on the branches of the “Acacia tortilis” tree.
The birdlife is also abundant, with flamingos, pelicans, hornbills and plenty of forest species. Dinner and overnight at Twiga lodge & Campsite, in Mto wa Mbu near Lake Manyara.

DAY 3: Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast with packed lunch boxes, you will depart for Serengeti National Park (driving time some 4 hours, but with plenty to see on the way!) En route you will see grazing zebras, antelopes and giraffes and sometimes some buffalos hiding in the bush. The South Serengeti ecosystem belongs partly to the Serengeti National park and partly to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. After the game drive, you enter the Serengeti National park and drive to your campsite for dinner and overnight accommodation stay at Pimbi Campsite all meals included

DAY 4: Full day game drive in Serengeti National Park

Endless Plains of the Serengeti
Early start today; for an early morning game drive to see also nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light.
You can take breakfast boxes with you and have a bush breakfast when the sun is up before you visit the interesting documentation center about Serengeti at Seronera. Furthermore, you will go out for the migration game drive for the rest of the day.
There is an optional hot-air balloon safari (not included in the package cost), which will take place in the morning, just as the sun rises. You’ll float in whichever direction the morning winds take you. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon; at times he will ascend to 1000′ or more to see the enormity and wonderful panorama of the Serengeti. After the landing you celebrate with champagne and a full English breakfast prepared and served in the bush in ‘Out of Africa’ style. After breakfast you receive your Serengeti balloon certificate and drive back to your campsite or proceed with your day’s activities and game drives around the Serengeti.
(Price for this ballooning is not included in the package, please let me know in advance to book this for you – space is so limited).
Dinner and overnight accommodation stay at Pimbi Campsite all meals included

Day 5:Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater – Natural Wonders of the World
After breakfast from your tented lodge, you will depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a wonderful game drive and picnic lunch. The inside of the crater is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, the Ngorongoro Crater has one of the highest wild animal densities worldwide.
Among the species are lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. You might expect to see the ‘Big Five’ in one day! You’ll then stay overnight at a lodge inside the crater. You’ll spend the night at your lodge where you’ll have a wonderful view over the crater.
Accommodation at: Simba Campsite, all meals included

What people say about us
I did the tour with 3 friends. It was a total of 10 days. It was indescribable. Our guide is a great guy, you can tell that he has been doing this job for years. He was able to show us all the animals. Lions, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, even the rare cheetahs and leopards. If you have never been on safari, you should not miss this experience. We felt very comfortable the whole time. The lodges including service, equipment and service were also first class. Hence 5 stars.
