A taste of Tanzania – Tarangire National Park & Ngorongoro Crater
The Tarangire National Park is known as a wonderful birding destination and also features large numbers of game, particularly during the dry season, when the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the area. The landscape is of particular interest too, due to the high number of scenic baobab trees.
Ngorongoro Crater, extinct volcanic caldera in the Eastern (Great) Rift Valley, northern Tanzania. It lies 120km west of the town of Arusha. The caldera measures between 16km and 19km across and has an area of 264 square km.
The Crater is well-known for its high concentration of wildlife worldwide with its per capita being the highest compared to Serengeti National Park.
